Going to UK

I'm going to live in London!!!!
While the site has been down and the possibilities to publish haven't been, I made a big change in my life. After 10 years in Finland, 7 of them at Nokia, I'm saying goodbye.
It's kind of hard to leave so much behind. It's actually really hard. But one has to move forward and the new job sounds terrific. I'll be managing the Web presence of easyJet. Now, that's cool.
The past few weeks have been a bundle of stuff. Xmas in Spain means a week lost to fever and flu, but that wasn't going to stop me going so I caught it from my nieces and spent the first few days of the year in bed. The high fever meant that I only had a few hours to check for appartments on the Web, using a prototype Nokia 7710 for Web browser and findaproperty.co.uk for data, I managed to locate a couple of places that didn't look too bad on picture.
Back in Finland, I contacted the agents and set up visit times. All a waste: the places were either nasty or too far from any form of public transportation. I spent 2 days in London visiting properties and by the end of day 1 I was convinced I'd end up living at the back of a moldy conversion sharing a toilet with 10 other tenants and paying 4 times as much as I do in Helsinki.
The second day I saw the last flat. Largish, good light, a garden and good train connections. I didn't even mind the price, which is a good thing as it would have scared me to death. I got it and after failing to open a bank account due to some “we need a utility bill on your name at that address, we don't trust
