After starting on the left foot -a broken car causing us days of delays- and a lot of hard work from Katia packing, we’ve finally completed our move. We are now officially residents of Harpenden. Out go the days of spending hours driving up and down the often gridlocked motorway, in come the days of a 10 minutes commute and friends living close by.
Katia is home unpacking, I’m in Berlin attending a conference that prevents me from giving her a hand unpacking. I hate it, but in a way it’s best: she’ll do a much better job than I’d ever do sorting out space for everything and turning an empty apartment into a home for the both of us.
For the moment, no Internet, no phone and no letters. Lovely!
