Raving in London

Katia went to Paris to see an interior design exhibition, so I was left to fend off for myself in London for the weekend. I had planned to finish the Sticky Websites presentation, which I did on Saturday morning, but then what…

Rave, of course! Alex had got the tickets on the net, which was very nice of him, so Esther, him and myself headed off to SeOne, London’s largest dedicated nightclub, with a capacity of 3000. Going in through metal detecting arches was a bit overwhelming but even as security were frisking us it felt like a very nice, friendly atmosphere, even when the guards were a bit confused by my 3 friends’ wax earplugs.
We were there until past 3am, jumping, dancing and sweating away, holding the water bottle like the regulars. The music was excellent, people were all dressed in tiny cyberdog gear and everyone was quite sober and friendly. Just like Spain’s clubs, with added sobriety, fewer drugs and music not as loud, although I dare say it was better chosen and mixed last night. Just as Spain’s clubs, with all the annoying stuff that made me stop going there taken out. I think I may have found clubbing again…
